Tap, click, save a life. With your help, British Seniors is looking to raise £5,000 for a major UK heart charity.

29 September 2015 is World Heart Day, when charities and health organisations across the globe reflect on heart health. To mark the occasion, British Seniors is aiming to raise £5,000 for Heart Research UK through social media.

British Seniors recently launched "Is Britain Eating Its Way Towards Heart Disease?" – a website to combat Britain's heart health epidemic.

For every person who taps or clicks to share the site on Facebook or Twitter, we will donate £1 to Heart Research UK. This national charity paid for six of the first eight successful heart transplants in the UK. In the last ten years, they've given more than £10m to support research into heart conditions.

With your help, we want to share the page 5,000 times on World Heart Day and raise a grand total of £5,000.

The site contains three pieces of healthy heart information:

·     An interactive map of UK heart disease hotspots

·     Easy recipe swaps to help you improve your diet

·     A free downloadable recipe book of heart healthy recipes

Thank you for your support. Cardiovascular disease is the UK’s biggest killer, with 160,000 people dying each year. Together, we can help Heart Research UK to beat all forms of heart disease.
